1. 1836Matthew Vassar Jr. bought the property at the corner of Mill and Vassar Streets for $800.
2. Between 1836 and 1843The house on the corner (218 Mill Street) was built.
3. 1850sJohn Guy Vassar moved into the house on Mill St. with his brother.
4. 1859Poughkeepsie branch building dated.
5. 1881Matthew Vassar Jr. died at his residence at 218 Mill St.
6. 1886The City of Poughkeepsie streets were re-numbered, and 234 Mill St. became 218 Mill St.
7. 1888John Guy Vassar died at his residence at 218 Mill St.
8. 1897Highland branch building dated.
